Chino Police Department Hosting National Night Out
On Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Chino PD in collaboration with Target, will celebrate the 33rd annual National Night Out event with thousands of communities across the nation; this will be the eighth year the Department has participated.
National Night Out is a nation-wide event designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in anti-crime programs, strengthen police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Neighborhood events will be held throughout the community where Chino PD, in collaboration with Target and the Chino Valley Fire Department will visiting each neighborhood gathering to interact with community members, share information on police and city resources and provide giveaways.
Chino PD encourages neighborhoods in the City of Chino to participate in National Night Out by hosting their own community event/block party (ie: BBQ, pool party, community walk, etc.).
“National Night Out is an opportunity for the members of the Chino Police Department to develop closer relationships with members of the community, as we join together to create safer neighborhoods,” said Police Chief Karen Comstock.
