Chino PD Officers to Participate in Annual Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser to Benefit Special Olympics
Chino PD Officers will join Officers across the state to serve guests at Red Robin restaurants in support of Special Olympics Southern California.
The Tip-A-Cop fundraiser event will take place Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 from 5:00 – 9 p.m. at the Red Robin located at 3903 Grand Avenue, Chino. Officers will volunteer their time alongside Red Robin staff to take guests’ orders, serve, and collect donations that will directly benefit local Special Olympic athletes.
Special Olympics Southern California provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
The funding received through Tip-A-Cop supports year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of sports throughout the United States. Collections from the event are one hundred percent donated to the Special Olympic regional groups in the Chino area.
Tip-A-Cop is part of the annual Law Enforcement Touch Run campaign for the Special Olympics. Chino Police Department is proud to join with more than 100,000 law enforcement members worldwide to help raise money and public awareness for the Special Olympics.
