CHINO, CA – The third Annual Cultural Palooza celebrates the diversity and cultures in Chino. On Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. community members come together to honor the city’s many cultures through music, food and dance. The annual celebration held at the Chino Civic Center, 13220 Central Avenue is one of the most popular events of the year.  Once known as Dutch, Swiss, Basque and Mexican agricultural community, Chino has grown into a city of over 85,000 residents who prosper from inclusivity that honors many cultures and traditions.

What began as a Mexican Independence Day celebration has transitioned into a grand community festival. The festival has expanded to showcase the various cultures who call Chino home. “Traditions matter, and when we share and celebrate our cultural heritage, we continue to strengthen as a community,” said Linda Reich, Director of Community Services.

Festival patrons can look forward to a diverse lineup of talented entertainers, shopping, delicious food, and cultural activities from around the world.

Performers include, Esperanza Flores Folklorico Dance Group, Roz and the Dancing Sands/Soraya, Dance N Escape, Ayala High School Chinese Club, Townsend Junior High Advanced Drama Class, Orion International Academy and the Pacific Island Dancers. There will also be special guest appearances by fictional royalty; a Scottish Princess, a Polynesian Princess and a Spanish Princess. Each princess will share a little about their culture and heritage.
