The Public Works Department serves the needs of the citizens of Chino by providing, maintaining, and operating City-owned improvements within the public rights-of-way. The primary duties of the Department are to maintain and improve the City's streets, traffic signal systems, landscaping, street lighting, water, sewer, and storm drain systems. The Department also provides civil engineering, transportation planning and inspection services, administers most City capital improvement projects, maintains the City's fleet of vehicles and other equipment, and provides ongoing custodial service throughout all City-owned facilities.
