The City Council relies on a number of citizen boards and commissions to serve as advisory bodies to the Council. These bodies play an important role in the governance of our City and provide valuable input to the City Council.

Community Services Commission meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm.

Planning Commission meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm. The Commission also holds occasional workshops as required.

Mobilehome Park Rent Stabilization Commission meetings are held on an "as needed" basis, depending upon if there is a petition from a Mobile Home Park pending.

Youth Accountability Board meetings are held quarterly in Feb, May, August and November. Meetings take place at the Carolyn Owens Community Center, 13201 Central Avenue, at 6:00 pm.

Teen Advisory Committee Meetings are held the first Thursday following the first City Council Meeting of the month in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm.

If you are interested in serving on a board or commission, contact the City Clerk for an application.
