The Chino Community Garden at 5976 Riverside Drive features reservable plots, themed demonstration gardens that will include a Monarch butterfly habitat, open park area, drought tolerant landscaping, fruit trees, community gathering pavilions, and a Little Free Library.

The Chino Community Garden was formally operated at the Northeast corner of 5th and D Streets since 2000. The 5th and D Streets site is expected to be developed for senior housing in the near future.  The City identified a new community garden site located at 5976 Riverside Drive, adjacent to Chino Valley Fire Station No. 7, in spring 2015.  The Community Garden was designed by Architerra Design Group with input from the community, City staff, and City officials. Thomco Construction was awarded the construction contract in December 2015 and began construction shortly thereafter. The Chino Community Garden opened at its new, permanent home on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Funding for the project was provided by a State of California housing-related grant and from the City's parks funds.
