Case Management

A bilingual case manager is available Tuesday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to provide information and referral services for residents who are low-income individuals or families needing social services assistance. Evening appointments are available by appointment only. This service is free to the Chino Community.

Types of services offered are:

  • Motel Voucher Assistance (one time emergency)
  • Emergency Food Assistance
  • Support Groups
  • Legal Aid Assistance
  • Healthy Families or Medical Insurance Process
  • Referrals of Public Services
  • Case Management (PDF File)

Community Outreach

Mobile Stop is an outreach program which is provided to the community at various locations in Chino.

Types of information available at the Mobile Stop are:

  • Social Service Information
  • Referral Services for the homeless, physically or mentally challenged, elderly, and Spanish speaking residents

Food Commodities is distributed to low-income residents of Chino.Proof of residency (i.e., utility bill or driver’s license) and income verification (i.e., recent check stub, SSI, etc.) are required. This program is free for the qualified residents of Chino. Click onto the link below for the next available distribution.

Social Services Programs

Fitness- The community can participate in a low impact aerobic workout while improving muscle tone and cardiovascular fitness. Please click onto the link below for an available fitness program:

Aerobics

Women’s Basketball league is designed for Chino residents; ages 18-60,  who want to have fun and learn the fundamentals of the sport.  The league consists of a ten game season, plus playoffs.  No session when school is closed.  This program is free for Chino residents, $10 for nonresidents.

Mujer Creativa is a ladies group that enjoys a fun filled hour and a half of arts and crafts and life-enhancement workshops throughout the month. The classes are designed to be bilingual. Registration is limited. Please click on the link below for the next available session.

Legal Aid

Clinics hosted by the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino are held on the second Monday of every month.  For more information or an appointment, please contact the Neighborhood Activity Center at (909) 334-3260.

Aguiar Square

A community plaza located in the heart of the downtown area of Chino, provides a tranquil, artistic setting for community events, which include cultural, educational and ceremonial programs.
