Corporate Challenge
A majority of New Year’s Resolutions include losing weight, exercising more, and eating healthier. This year commit yourself and your company to a healthy lifestyle! One way to do this is to incorporate fun, healthy activities into the workplace. Join the Annual Chino Corporate Challenge and your organization can compete with other companies in a variety of activities including softball, shuffleboard, basketball, scrabble, and much more! Corporate Challenge takes place in April and we are looking for motivated and dedicated teams to participate in these exciting and challenging events. Freedom Festival
Please join the City of Chino and Chino Girl’s Fastpitch in celebrating the Fourth of July at Ayala Park. Fireworks show at dusk (approximately 9:00 p.m.)
Relay For Life
Chino Relay for Life is a 24-hour cancer walk put on in partnership with the American Cancer Society. Relay will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 9 a.m. and end on Sunday, August 2nd at 9 a.m. All benefits go to cancer research in hope of finding a cure. Over 90 teams participate in this great event, which includes entertainment, food, a Luminaria Ceremony, and more. The event starts with the Survivor’s Lap of Courage, where cancer survivors walk the track alone. As always, the Luminaria Ceremony was the highlight of the event. All the lights are turned off and participants walk the track with candles for survivors as well as those who have lost their battle to cancer.
Mexican Independence Day
Come celebrate the event that revolutionized Mexican history on Saturday, September 12, 2009 on the lawn at City Hall. Festivities will include live music, mariachi bands, singers, folklorico dancers, and authentic food.
Halloween Spook-tacular
Chino will be hosting its 5th annual Halloween Spook-tacular from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009. The event will include old fashion carnival games, crafts, bouncers, entertainment, and much more.
Chino Youth Christmas Parade and Fair
Please join the City of Chino for a holiday event at the annual Youth Holiday Parade and Fair on Saturday, December 12, 2009.
The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Riverside Drive and Yorba Avenue, continue east on Riverside Drive, south on Central Avenue, and end on the corner of Central and Chino Avenues. Community groups and participants are encouraged to decorate floats for the parade.
The fair will begin immediately following the parade at the City Hall lawn area. For your enjoyment there will be thrilling carnival rides, games, entertainment, delicious food and crafts.
