Summer Programs

The City of Chino, Community Services Department offers summer programs for the entire family to enjoy, and make the summer memorable.

Aquatics
Recreation swim is held at Chino High School, 5472 Park Place, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12:10 - 2:00 p.m.  The cost is $2 per person per entry, or $20 for 15 entries.

Swim Lessons
Registration will only be taken in person, at the Carolyn Owens Community Center, 13201 Central Avenue on designated dates.  Mail in registration will not be accepted.  Classes run for 2-weeks, Monday - Friday for 30 minutes each.

Monte Vista Park Splash Pad
Please bring your swim suit, water shoes, and a towel to cool off during the summer at the Monte Vista Park Splash Pad located at Monte Vista Park, 13196 Monte Vista Avenue.  The Splash Pad is open on weekends May 29 - September 25, 2010 and 7 days a week, June 21 - September 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Seniors at the Square
Adults age 50 and over will enjoy "Seniors at the Square" activities planned for Monday evenings from July 12 - August 30, 2010, at Aguiar Square, 13191 6th Street.  For just $2, participants will enjoy a delicious meal and great entertainment.  Pre-registration is required at the Senior Center.

Concerts in the Park
Bring the family out to enjoy an evening of live entertainment hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Chino.  Concerts are held every Thursday evening, July 8 - August 12, 2010, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in front of City Hall (Lawn area), 13220 Central Avenue, Chino.  Delicious, inexpensive food provided by Kiwanis as a fundraiser.

Farmers Market
You are invited to stop by and visit the Farmers Market every Wednesday evening, July 7 - August 25, 2010, from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. in front of City Hall (Lawn area), 13220 Central Avenue, Chino.

Summer Camp
The Summer Camp program is for participants going into 1st-6th grade.  Camp is held at the Community Building, 5443 "B" street, and the Preserve Community Center, 15800 Main Street,  from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  The cost for the camp is: $90 per week, per participant for the 1st child,, $81 for the 2nd child, and $73 for the 3rd child.  Extended care is available from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. for an additional $10 per child, per week.  For more information, please contact the Carolyn Owens Community Center at (909) 591-9834 or the Preserve Community Center at (909) 464-0789.

Teen Programs
