Teens, do you need volunteer hours? Learn about the Teen Opportunity Program (TOP) and meet other teens, like you, who want to have fun while volunteering in the community!
TOP is for teens in grades 7 through 12 (13 to 18 years of age) who are friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to help in their community. Participants will develop interpersonal skills and learn through hands-on assignments. Chino Community Services staff will train and assign TOP Volunteers within the City's programs and special events throughout the year.
Teen Opportunity Program(TOP) Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from 6:30-7:00 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers.
To enroll in the Teen Opportunity Program (TOP), please submit both the TOP Enrollment Application and the City Volunteer Corp Application. Teens must attend monthly meetings to learn more and sign up for volunteer assignments. For any questions, or to be added to the TOP interest list, please contact the Neighborhood Activity Center at 909-334-3260.
The Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) was established by the City of Chino to gain vital input on teen issues while promoting greater involvement of youth in the community and municipal government. TAC consists of seven voting members, two alternate members and three members-at-large. TAC members are appointed annually as a result of a competitive application process.
Applications for the 2023 to 2024 school year are being accepted through April 28. Complete applications should be submitted by email or submitted to the Neighborhood Activity Center located at 5201 D Street. Interviews will be held in June.
Access the TAC Application.
