Chino Liberty Courtyard

Chino Liberty CourtyardSaluting Chino's Armed Forces Heroes!

In an effort to honor the men and women of Chino who are currently serving, or have served in the military, the Chino Community Services, Parks & Recreation Commission formed a subcommittee to implement this vision. The subcommittee developed and designed a plan for this project, and the result is the Chino Liberty Courtyard. The Courtyard is located at the Chino Community Building (5443 B Street) and features five-pillars as a salute to each branch of the U.S. military. The Courtyard also provides a solemn space for military members, their families, and the public to honor and remember those who have served our country.

The Chino Liberty Courtyard was dedicated on November 11, 2016. If you missed the opportunity to purchase a brick, a limited number of 4x8 inch bricks are available for purchase. Subsequent brick placements will be made once a year until all bricks are purchased. The yearly deadline is July 4, and the bricks will be installed each year prior to Veterans Day.

Bricks can be purchased through the Community Services, Parks & Recreation Department for $200 each. There is a $100 discount if the brick honors a veteran or active service member. Order forms can be downloaded from this page or picked up at City Hall or the Carolyn Owens Community Center.
