The Chino Valley Fire District serves the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, and unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. With a remarkable history dating back to its inception as Chino Fire Company No. 1 in 1895, the fire district has flourished into a prominent emergency response force.

The Chino Valley Fire District boasts a team of over 120 professional firefighter/paramedics and specialized units, prepared to tackle an extensive range of emergencies. From structure fires and medical aids to hazardous materials incidents, swift water rescues, and more, their expertise is unparalleled. A dedication to exceptional customer service and proactive community safety through educational endeavors are at the core of their mission. Meet Chino Valley Fire District Chief Dave Williams

Dave Williams was appointed Fire Chief in December 2021. Chief Williams began his career with the Chino Valley Fire District in 2008 and has over 25 years of experience in the fire service. He has served as Firefighter/Paramedic, Captain, Training Captain, Battalion Chief, and most recently as Deputy Chief of EMS and Training. Chief Williams has lived in the Chino Valley for over thirty-five years.

Chief Williams has an Associate of Science Degree in Emergency Medical Services and an Associate of Science Degree in Fire Science from Mount San Antonio College. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Human Resources from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master of Business Degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne. Chief Williams also completed the Executive Fire Officer Program through the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland and received the California Special District Managers Certificate through the Special District Leadership Foundation.
