As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, the City would like to share some key updates and reminders to ensure a smooth and enjoyable holiday for all residents.
Facility Closures:
- All City Facilities will be closed on November 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving.
- The Ayala Park Operations Center will, however, be open on November 24 from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM to meet community needs.
- City Hall will resume regular operations on Monday, November 27, operating from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Waste Collection Schedule Adjustments:
- There will be no trash collection on Thanksgiving Day, November 23.
- Residents with Thursday trash collection should place their carts out on Friday, November 24.
- Those with Friday service are requested to set out their carts on Saturday, November 25, for efficient post-holiday collection.
F.O.G. (Fats, Oils, and Grease) Management:
- This holiday season, please be mindful of how you dispose of Fats, Oils, and Grease from holiday cooking. Improper disposal down drains can cause blockages and environmental damage.
- Dispose of F.O.G. properly by placing it in solid waste containers, not in sinks or toilets.
Supporting Local Businesses:
- As holiday shopping kicks off, we urge you to shop locally. Supporting our community’s businesses helps drive economic growth and strengthens our community ties.
