Paul initially refused any assistance and continued his lifestyle of substance abuse and living on the streets. Chino’s Homeless Outreach Coordinator did not give up on Paul, and regularly checked in on him to see if he was interested in receiving assistance.
It was because of the Homeless Outreach Coordinator’s persistence that Paul decided that his current lifestyle was not sustainable. The City of Chino helped connect Paul with a sober living environment in Pomona. Paul has been able to remain sober and enjoys his new housing environment. He is now looking for employment and is no longer homeless.
