60 Swarm

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a paving project on State Route 60 (SR 60) on Monday, July 22, 2019 to repair deteriorated pavement slabs from Euclid Avenue in Ontario to the 60/91/215 Junction in Riverside. Caltrans will also begin a bridge project in fall 2019 on SR 60 to replace Pipeline Avenue, Monte Vista Avenue and Benson Avenue bridge structures. The combination of these two projects and two other local interchange projects has been dubbed the “60 Swarm”.

Project Cost Estimate: $134 million, SB1 Funds: $16.9 million

Location: .1 mile vicinity of bridges located at Pipeline, Monte Vista and Benson Avenues.
