Benson Bridge Project
SoCalGas will begin a new phase of the Benson Bridge Relocation Project as part of the 60 Swarm project on April 27.

Please be advised of the following scheduled closures taking place April 27, 2020 through June 30, 2020, Monday through Saturday 7:00am-5:00pm.

Your natural gas services should continue without interruptions. If that changes, a SoCalGas representative will notify you. 

To perform this work safely, the operation may require a controlled release of natural gas. If you have any concerns, please call SoCalGas at 1-800-427-2200.

North End:
Benson Avenue between Portsmouth and Monticello, one lane in the North Bound direction will remain open
Two-Way traffic on Benson Bridge from Harrison Street to Portsmouth Street
Local access detours can be accessed through side streets. (i.e. from Portsmouth to Cottonwood to Monticello)

South End: 
One-Way northbound traffic only from Guardian Way to Harrison Street
Two-way traffic on Benson Bridge from Harrison Street to Portsmouth Street
Detours can be accessed through side streets i.e. from Harrison street to Cedar Ave to Walnut Ave)
Benson/Guardian Way traffic allowed to exit via right turn for southbound traffic.

Road Improvements
The City of Chino and San Bernardino County are partnering on a project to improve accessibility on Philadelphia Avenue from the Chino/Pomona City limit to Norton Avenue. While there will be no closures, please anticipate construction activity in the area through May 6, 2020. See below for the anticipated schedule of construction activity.

Monday May 4th – Construction activity will take place from City Limit Pomona Line to Roswell Avenue.
Tuesday May 5th – Construction activity will take place from Roswell Avenue to Pipeline Avenue.
Wednesday May 6th – Construction activity will take place from Pipeline Avenue to Norton Avenue.

60 Swarm

60 swarm logoThe California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a paving project on State Route 60 (SR 60) on Monday, July 22, 2019 to repair deteriorated pavement slabs from Euclid Avenue in Ontario to the 60/91/215 Junction in Riverside. Caltrans will also begin a bridge project in fall 2019 on SR 60 to replace Pipeline Avenue, Monte Vista Avenue and Benson Avenue bridge structures. The combination of these two projects and two other local interchange projects has been dubbed the “60 Swarm”.
