Workshop to Design Inclusive Playground at Chino Rancho Park

CHINO, CA – The City of Chino is inviting the public to attend a workshop to design and pick the features for Chino’s first inclusive playground at the future Chino Rancho Park. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 31, from 4:00-5:00 p.m., at the Community Building, 5443 B Street. Light refreshments will be served. Face masks are required for participants.

Chino Rancho Park is being built at the corner of Central Avenue and Phillips Boulevard. Community members designed the park at previous public workshops. It was the desire of the community to include an inclusive playground, which gives children of all ages and abilities a space to play, to be challenged, and to have fun together. With a range of equipment selections to pick from, all ability levels can access and play on the playground.

The City was awarded a grant to build the new park through Round 3 of the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program. This program is funded by State Prop. 68, the Parks, Environment, and Water Bond approved by voters in June 2018.
