AARP - Driver Safety

A two-day course that will enable drivers to refresh their driving skills and understand how to adjust to age-related challenges.  Drivers will receive a certificate upon completion of the course that will grant a discount for their car insurance policy.  Classes are instructed by a trained AARP volunteer.  Cost for AARP Member is $15 and $20 for non-Members. 

AARP - Smart DriverTEK

FREE 90-minute interactive workshop that will provide the latest safety technology in your current or future car.  You will learn about blind-spot detection systems, front-collision warning systems, and more. 

Aide Equipment Program

A program that will loan mobile equipment, including walkers, canes, crutches, and wheelchairs.  Equipment is accessible upon availability. 

Case Management

Case Management services are available to provide information and referrals for City of Chino seniors 50+.  A bilingual Case Manager will provide an assessment of an individual's needs and then match them with existing resources.  They also provide assistance with social services applications, advocacy services, and the facilitation of other public benefits.  For more information, or to make an appointment with a Case Manager, please call (909) 334-3271.

D.A.A.S. (Department of Aging and Adult Services)

An agency representative will assist with social services referrals and provide bus passes to seniors, 60+, when available, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Get S.M.A.R.T. (Senior Mobility and Reliable Transportation)

Free door-to-door morning transportation for Chino senior residents, 50+.  Transportation to and from the Senior Center, doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, and pharmacy pick-up within the City limits.  Return trips begin after the Senior Center Lunch program. 

Health Insurance, Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP)

This program can help you understand Medicare, compare supplemental plans, examine your rights as a healthcare consumer, and explore long-term care options.  The program is offered on the first Thursday of the month. 

Senior Lunch Program - Family Service Association (F.S.A.)

Hot, nutritious lunches are served daily, Monday-Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Meal cost is a suggested $3 donation for seniors 60+, and $9.75 for those under the age of 60.  Homebound meals are also available.
