[ARCHIVED] Philips Story: Hope is a Bus Ride Away

2

Philip is a 45-year-old man that had been living on Chino streets since 2014, struggling with substance abuse. His sister in Montana was willing to help, but he needed help getting there.

The Homeless Outreach Coordinator supported a family reunification for Phillip, 45-year-old man that had been living on Chino streets since 2014, struggling with substance abuse. The Quality-of-Life Team purchased the bus ticket to reunite, and the Homeless Outreach Team provided gift cards for food along his journey. The sister called from Montana to inform the Team that Phillip had made it to her and is living with her. Phillip was able to secure a construction position, has a girlfriend, and has maintained his sobriety through a church program.
